Silkys.... Are they cutting back ??

not trting to create a pun with this thread but over the past couple of months i have noticed the difference in the thickness in the blades, are silky getting sloppy and trying to con us off i dont know but at the moment it only seems to be on the shorter gomtoro saws. whats everyone elses view on them theses days at the moment they keep braking

Dunno. I bought a new blade for my PocketBoy a couple of weeks back after the previous one had lasted me a few years. Second use and the end snapped off!

The 'Silky' pruner head for the Hayauchi telescopic poles is beyond awful. It's like the kind of crap you get in Lidl when they are having a 'gardening special' week.

 

No problems with my 2-month old replacement Zubat though. Ninja like.

ive recently made the move onto a zubat and its wicked seems to take less effort does not fall out of its sheith and as of yet its lasted more than two weeks without snapping so better than previous silkys snapping daily or loosing teeth

I bought a Gomtaro recently to see how it compared to the Super Accel and I was a bit shocked at the thinness of the blade. I won't be buying another.

In the meantime, why not get a Sugoi? Thicker steel, sharPer and longer.
