artic load = m3 ?

My pal reckoned a truck and drag as a box would work out as 80m3, then loose 20% for air gaps,etc would leave you with 64m3. Don't know how accurate this is though.

 

cant see that.. i get 27cm3 after air gaps on my artic trailer... at most they will only get as 3rd as much on with a lory and drag.. nwhen i buy my wood they take 45% off for air gaps..

there is one way to find out, get your chainsaw and axe out, cut and spit your load and see what you get, thats exactly what i am doing at the mo, i have weighed 4 cube that i did and they came to 1880 kg(470kg each) so if i got the correct weight on the load that would equate to 55 bags, this is birch and i know that is not as dense as some other hard woods.:thumbup1:
