it's the one bit of kit i've never had the chance to use, also the GRCS. and it's the one bit of kit i've always wanted. i've got the money for it now, personally i like the look of grcs but i have no real backing for that decision. i know it's an age old arguement Hobb's or GRCS. i'm going to wait and see how things pan out in germany before i purchase one.

the hobbs is alot bigger than the grcs,we got one with swansea council,its a very good bit of kit its the price range the only thing with the grcs is if the groundies arnt trained up propely on how to use the ratchet for lifting the rope can get caught and it mangles the outer sheaf...other than that they are as good as each other:thumbup1:

Had the hobbs a couple of months now, I love it, I wish I'd bought one years ago. Its simple reliable and foolproof: in the pine video I posted the other day the guy lowering had never used one before and had only done a bit of lowering at colledge, he picked it up streight away. Well worth the money IMO.
