Tree pit knowledge anybody?

sound advice scottf ... with so called hose pipe bans possible / and the fact its on an area where a new substation is being built i doubt once building is finished anybody will care , however it round the corner rom my home , and it be great to see these trees take root over the years

 

il dig a bit and test the soil to make sure i sleep at night when i return there this week

 

aint it nice to do something thats for your own (local) benifit as much as anyone elses, makes the job just a little bit nicer to do and even makes me tend to put my own time into it as well:thumbup1:

The new British Standard on tree planting and establishment will be a very welcome addition - provided its any good!

 

It's amazing how many of us tree professionals have little knowledge about planting. I certainly feel it has been glazed over during most of my arb education.

Just being planting some hornbeam hedging trees today. sprinkled some bone meal in the holes. I would of mulched also with woodchip if i had any.

 

This Rootgrow - Mycorrhizal Fungi stuff is it worth using?
