What do u think about pooling knowledge to create some documentation that we all need and use e.g. generic risk ass etc. Dont know how at the moment but who would be interested?

It's amazing that nothing like this is available already. Surely most specific activities could have their own generic risk assessment. If they were available on a CD then the you just fill in the applicable gaps and add any site specific info on site.

Good opportunity for someone!

I'm after a employee contract.. if anyone has one.

I can send anyone who wants the generic risk assesment which we use (its too big to post).. HSE blokes who visited liked it and has a simple A4 tick box to do for each job.

Here's my Generic Risk Arse-ssment.

Its designed to go hand in hand with a site specific job sheet, with lovely little boxes to tick. I'd put that up if my laptop hadn't hidden it...

I've got some other great docs I would love to post but I'll have to check copyright... I think Steve would get into trouble if I just stuck half the AA's back catalouge, my degree course handouts and several British Standards on his site!

'course you could always pm me. nudge nudge wink wink.

i was thinking of starting a database of trees, like a tree id book but with the ability to match criteria with possible species, for instance, you'd take photos of the leaves and the bark etc, note the shape of the leaf, the colour etc. then you could enter the info to find the tree. i think it'd help me learn personally. is there all ready such a thing?

An old thread I know but did this ever get off the ground?

Just scanning about looking for nice, easy and quick RA, mine is pants to say the least (gets by on jobs) but could do with a nice ticky box type. :001_smile:

Working on my method statement, which is looking better so I can fill in sections for different sites, saves a lot of time writing new ones out for every site :bored:

i have had an A5 tick box, fill in numbers and rip off section for years, i used to use my own safety officer and he sourced it for me because i got fed up writing stories. and i have 2 massive folders with all the juicy stuff in them that it relates to you.easy peasy
