In my opinion. Ranger or Hilux, reliable and stand up to abuse. You will get more for your money with a Ranger, but the Hilux holds it value. Got mud terrain tyres on my ranger, great off road.

IMO go for an older ranger, they seem to last better than the new ones. Hilux is ok, but the 2.4 NA is gutless with a load on. The turbo is better.

Don't bother with the l200 they have Lexus engine in them and are more for show.

I have a Mazda B2500, in other words a Ranger, and I have been happy with it. Just put a brand new alternator on it for £110 so parts seem to be reasonable. Mine is a 2000 model but has a 2003 engine so is LEZ compliant, something you need to consider if you plan to work in London at all. :001_smile:
