When you've dug out a stump and it's too big to hand ball cut a slot in the top and wedge split it into bits.:

Nice one, Ive dug out thousands of stumps like that and always struggled to get them from garden to truck. I cant understand why it did,nt dawn on me before. Thanks.:thumbup1:

when spiking up a back up a stem put your climbing line on the outside of your stop so it keeps it out of the way of your spikes or slip it to your harness

if your expecting an important phone call put your phone in glove on back of left hand or in helmet but on back of hand seems easier

as if you shove it in pocket you end up busting em

Ah, with you.

So you never use your climbing line for any load other than a person?

For instance, if you needed a large saw in the tree, you wouldnt ask your groundie to tie it to the tail of your rope and pull it up?

Of course I would, but that,s totally different to what youre suggesting

Dont really see why, lowering a small branch that weighs less than a chainsaw, in a controlled way that doesnt shock load the rope.
