A question for 357xp/xpg owners !

What chain do you prefer on it and why ??

.325 with 7rim sprocket

.325 with 8rim sprocket

3/8 with 7rim sprocket

 

just a bit curious since you guys in England cut similar trees like us Swedes !!

I like it with .325 8rim sprocket and 15"-18" bar

(both chisel and semi).

I think the .325 gives a smooth ride in the cut

3/8 15" chisel on mine cuts fast and keeps things simple sharing the same pitch as my other saws

3/8 with 15" bar for me aswell. all round work horse of a saw. Love it.

Any saw that will pull 3/8's I would run 3/8's.

 

Now if you have a chitload of .325 to use up then run the .325!!!

I have 3/8 16" b/c setup and it sure cuts fast, but I run .325 on my 346xpg so it's nice to able to change bars and chains as I like, and most of the cutting I do is in spruce or pine and for limbing I like the .325 better !!

I use 15" .325 or 18" .325 - cuts like a dream and less drag as Bob said!

we use 3/8 full chisel on 56 link bars
