Knot weed

How big is the patch of knotweed? If it's practicle to do so I would cut the stems down to about 2inches from the ground and paint the cut ends with Garlon. Which avoids contact with the ground and potential runoff into the water. On the other hand if it was an enormous patch it would take too long.

Seems that as a food it is fantastic.......look at the vitamins and minerals it contains in this list! I also have a recipie for knotweed beer!! not tried it yet but surely this demon could be utilised?:001_smile:

good plan, we can eat the species to extinction.

having spent many days spraying/cutting it, i would be glad to see it gone.
