Im just advertising on behalf of the contractor i work for.

 

Over the next month he'll be looking to take on an experianced handcutter for a long term contract based near tadley.

 

work is cutting hardwood and softwood and its payed on piece rate per ton

alrite ben, piece rate changes from site to site hardwood is normally £9-£12 and atm cutting softwood for £6 a ton but trees are large, 1 ton atleast per tree.

Not interested in the job Stu, but what does that rate apply to?

 

Decked, sned, lengthed and left, or stacked?

Yeah that's the rate for cutting, felled and converted and stacked where you can, the bigger stuff you roll and leave.

Damn it i want this work, sounds ace haha

 

yeah its good! doing some large pine clearfells atm ready to be re planted and then some nice blocks of hardwood and coppice sites.
