HI ALL just got a zetor 4911 tractor it has 2 batteries 90 ah 480 sae and I'm looking at new ones but thinking of just one large battery with power of 110ah 1000 sae so thats same 2 small batteries what do you all think thanks jon :thumbup:

its got 2, batts for a reasen jon mate ,i would up the size of the other 2, iv just put double batts on my renault , & has improved cold starting no end ,:thumbup1:

 

them zets can take a bit of starting mate, they have 2, on the wifes farm ,mate

HI picker thanks for that but i no it has 2 batts but with one batt at 110ah 1000 sae plus it the same as 2 batts thanks jon :thumbup:

HI scraggy thanks for that but its 12v not 24v the 2 small batts are just for better start so called but if i fit a large batt say 110ah 1000 sae plus i think it will be better thanks jon :thumbup:

A quick look at the Lucas catalogue indicates that the recommended Lucas unit for this tractor is LP663 or LP663H.

 

LP 663 is 12V 110Ah SAE750 so you should be good with the 110Ah SAE1000 unit you are thinking of.

 

One of the better moves we have made over the years has been to fit a tractor battery in the land rover and stick a set of truck jump leads behind the seats - been well worthwhile.

HI muldonach yes mate I've looked into to it and the 2 small batts are 90ah each and 450 sae min so one large batt at 110 ah plus and 1000 sae plus i think will be ok back then when the zetor was made the batts was not as good so i think one large is ok but your right it all ways good to have a good set of jumps leads but i like very good batts jon :thumbup:
