Yeah, gotta say xtc is the one for me especially if you like the thicker diameter rope.

You'd probley hate the tachyon.

Yeah, I do prefer the thicker ropes, they just feel better to me. And the blue streak I have been using has very little stretch at all which I also prefer.

Tachyon is 11.7mm. The larger diameter ropes are either half inch, (12.7mm) or 13mm. Different manufacturers ropes often handle differently despite being the same diameter on paper. I find Samson ropes often feel thinner than advertised, while Yale and New England tend to puff up a bit and feel chunkier in the hand.

Thats the Samson Foam filled Rope. I'd leave it at Sherrill's.

Thats ok mate, It certainly doesn't feel anything like 13mm, more like 11. It will get used though, even if it's not by me. I like something a bit meatier for my main rope. We have 2 welly's to deadwood next week so will have another go with it then.

The boss has recently bought a 40m sequoia rope from severnside safety, I quite like that tbh, nice feel in the hand and not too much stretch.
