what type of cutting / chipping action is used?, from you earlier descrition it sounds like an up to date, more mechanised version of the old browns log chopper which had manual infeed rather than hydraulic.

Could you use it as a replacement for a processor and just stick 3-6 inch 4-6 foot billets through for firewood at the yard and just chip everything on site below 3 inch.

A sorting system as mentioned would obvioulsy be great to stick all through on site. A mega backpack blower could get rid of the chopped brash!

It would be a good machine to take into the woods on a tractor, everything you cut down is money. Mr ed i have a jappa firewood processer with 4 way knife and i was wondering could you make a grile to go in front of this to make kindling would this be possible?:001_smile:

Ed,

Be careful you dont fall into the marketing myopia trap, this is where you convince yourself you have great product and that everyone is going to want to use it, when in actual fact the demand is minimal.

Sir Clive Sinclair thought everyone would want to use a C5, he was suffering from chronic marketing myopia.

Tim, as ever, I shall give your opinion the same attention as always.

Zilch.

Lighten up dude, it was an interesting product I'm thinking of buying for my own use, and thought it might make an interesting thread. given that were already into 3 pages, I'd say other folks have a tad more enthusiasm for interesting new machines.

I was thinking exactly the same thing myself...

so the blades are on the infeed? distance between blades governing the size of the end product??

It would seem so. Basicly, your 'infeed rollers' would do all the processing.

For me, I LOVE the simplicity of it.
