Off roaders - tree surgeons - what recovery chain?

Thanks for the images folks.

 

I might know a guy who can do a set of 8 and a plate for about 70 quid. He's in Manchester tho

 

Darn, I should have asked here first. I paid £40 for three spikes and carriage this morning. Fed Ex were only £10.50 for the carriage.

 

Could you contact him and see if he does want to sell them? I might be able to cancel my order if it hasnt already been dispatched.

The three spikes (which should be T shaped if you look down the length of them) are VERY VERY effective ground anchors. I made my own, and they have saved my bacon a few times, whilst loaded right up to the gills and towing a chipper. Dont be too hasty to write them off.

When you link them together first drive a pin through the very back hole, then apply tension in the direction of pull, this will align all the plates and take up any slack between the plates, then drive the rest home. The army connecting bolts at rated at 16 tonne so only 4 plates in a row. (although there are other configurations)
