just found one called treetrees from jost benning and looks like it has fungi as well.... there is a free version too but i guess wont have much info in it but will download it to get a taster and will report back.

On my ipad i have tree sketch and leafsnap which are ok as they are free - wouldn't pay money for them. Trees of Britain is pretty basic. Been considering Site Survey for measuring tree height - have a look at that. Ed.

No they do a specific clinometer app.

 

I got the link from on here when there was a thread on a laser height measuring gizmo.

For determining tree height, I recommend one of these (for iPhone):

 

How High or Far for iPhone, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G on the iTunes App Store

 

App Store - seeLevel - visual clinometer

 

Both use the camera for aiming. A lot easier than sighting down the edge of the phone as you have to do using other clinometer apps.
