yep. sip freedoms for me too, much better quality. Im sure the arguement here will be that hiflexs are better for climbing in as they are more clinging material and stretchy. But i think SIP do clingy/stretchy ones too.

I've just gone from 5 years in one pair of hiflex to stretch airs, the build quality difference is shocking!

 

Won't go back to stihls.

I didn't do much work in the first 2 years though. So 3 years really! Still did well, any holes I got stitched up and it helped them last.

I have had 2 pairs of stihl's the first split up the are from below the zip right up to the waist band not good when on site I can tell you. The second pair has not yet failed in this way, but both pairs rip very easily and I find myself making repairs every other day or so. No zip issues though. Might try some Oregon fiordland next

yes mine went in the first few months, was using a safety pin but afte ra near miss changed to a cable tie.

my rearend became so messed up with mine I had to wear a pair of black swimshorts underneath to prevent the customer catching an eyeful of my fruity underwear!

same here, my zip went after 2 or 3 months, i took them to a high street 'make and mend' shop in town 12 months back and paid £10 for it to be replaced with a stronger beefier zip, job's a good un...(so far)

I got a pair of Stihl chaps/leggings, combersome bloody things that keep unzipping and difficult to do back up. I only got them when I want to saw some logs, pop them on & off quick, but walking in them..... forget it, total crap.

Always had Husqvarna trousers and they last me years, the last new pair are crap. First hour of light use all the fronts are scragged and the stitching runs like a ladder, quality is very poor so the last time I will pay for them.

I wish someone would make light indistuctable ones with wear patches and breathable so you dont sweat like a pig.

we are all caught in the trap of having to buy what they say we need, instead of good old common sense stuff
