Lumber mate 2000

I've been using a Lumbermate 2000 very kindly lent to me for the last month or two. So far only cut larch on it and it's been quite difficult at times. I would urge you to exercise a little caution as they are very light weight machines - whilst mobile it's insufficiently rigid to be easily and quickly set up for milling. Additionally, due to this lack of rigidity, it does seem to allow a degree of oscillation and subsequently bands snap.

Living with the mill for the past two months has been very useful, but only strengthened my resolve for a fully hydraulic mill.
