Deer fencing

Just looking for a recent ball park figure for 1.8m high wire deer fence, £ per meter. It'll give me a start point for talking to local contractors - most of whom are now busy on HLS contracts (which has just put £5 per meter on the price of walling work round here.)

Straining posts of 3m length and 175-200mm diameter

Box strainers

Intermediates of 2.7m and 75-100mm and every 4m

All timber with 15 year in serivce guarantee

 

Just quoted to the above spec for a job and it was £14/m +VAT supplied and installed.

Done a fence to this spec last year for £6.60m so would imagine around the £7 mark now, not sure if this any help

£8/m+Vat with LHT wire all to FC Grant spec.

 

£12/m+Vat for Tornado or Cylone HT wire Class HC4 timber.

I must be in the wrong area for fencing or not charging near enough......would be more relaxed and less stressed if I was getting anywhere near those prices.

Thats very cheap for deer fencing- standard stock fencing isn't much less. Id stick yer prices up a bit mate! between £8-10 is a good ballpark, more if theres lots of turns of directions etc depends on ground conditions too

Wouldn't get the work if I did, stock fence is £4.70m with strainers and turners now an additional £28

Light gauge deer fence tornado wire with chestnut stakes coming in at about £6.50/ m down here. Obviously depends on site and access by machine for post driver.
