Twisted Rope Help

Hello there,

I have recently purchased and received the 'Yale XTC-Plus' rope from Honey Brothers. It was sent to me with large amounts of twists in the rope.

As I have little experience in climbing so far, I was wondering if anyone knows any easy and efficient methods of un-twisting rope, as it is a pain to climb with.

Thanks,

or climb to the top of a tall tree, dangle your rope down in a clean free striaght line and untwist it that way:biggrin:

I have tried this method, however the tree was not tall enough. It did help the rope untwist somewhat though.

Thanks RobArb,

i'll sometimes pull the entire length rope backwards and forwards through the anchor point when i'm back on the ground, seems to work for me. If you haven't just chuck it over the highest limb you can and do the same.

I have tried this method also. It did seem to make a difference, but the next time I climbed it was twisted again.

Thank you for the suggestion.
