Yep...yep and yep....they can come undone...twigs get jammed in behind the scabbard..it rides down so the blade comes into contact with the straps:banghead:...but i still rate it....i think that having a hand saw attatched to the side of your shin it isn't very streamlined and will catch but i can live with until Darbyshire produce a "Sawpod 2.0"...with these issues ironed out:rolleyes:...

Does anyone else have an issue with the straps comeing undone or even with them moving about? I've already almsot cut through the top strap when sheathing the saw because it rides up over the top of the scabbard.

 

Not anymore, on the new Zubat sheath, they have strap guides, i put my sawpod through those! dont move about at all! Perfect!

Now that sounds a bit more sensible. I'll be looking out for that. I still prefer it to having something else hanging off my harness.

I have a sugoi that comes with leg straps abolutely awesome. Laying right on limbs when tip tying and climbing conifers no drama at all havent lost my saw out of the scabbard once. With spurs or not awesome as.

I never used my saw pod for the first time last week in about 4 years, I lost my Zubaat out its sheath in about 3 minutes into the undergrowth never to be seen again !!!!

Sawpod rules!!

 

My theory is that sawpod is a spoonerism.

Thumbs up from me. Never been without one since the first time I used one. The cutting through straps is an issue though, at one point I went through about 3 in as many months. At least once you cut through 2 you can make a 3rd for no extra cost!

excellent bit of kit, would never go back to scabbard on harness. Only slight niggle is rope sometimes gets hooked over handle.

As suggested by someone else on here I added a disc lock reminder cable to the saw, which I found to be a great idea.
