You shouldn't be" investing" in family life, that should come naturally, without the financial input.:001_huh::confused1:

I dont get this?

Surely family is the only investment any of us truly make?

My child is the single most important investment, and the only TRUE investment that i can ever make. Money is (as we should have all learnt from the last few years ongoing events) a means to an end- ie survival, and our survival is a means to an end- continuation of the species, hence why the only true investment we can make is that of and hence also for, our children.:001_smile:

luftwaffe, the way i see this is as follows,

we all have different personal priorities, you asked the question, but dont like the answers if they are not financially profitable!!

Got it in one. i'm talking in money not holidays, recreations, make the coin first, then maybe and i mean maybe holidays then, I've always been pretty ruthless with myself to be set up by 40.

With 100K I would buy another house, yes that really does buy a reasonable house in these parts which I would rent out for income.

My (non Arb) business is as small as I want it and dont need to spend on it.

But I would buy an MS441 with 20" bar  oh la la

Your child is not an investment, where do you see children advertised as investments, you are confusing the two issues, its completley seperate.

i have 3 properties, a good business, loads of kit, insurances in place for injury and death, pensions and plenty of money in the bank. So

So my plan with a £100k is diferent from yours, if i had a need for a £100k i would go and get it not just make up threads about it, some do, some find reasons not to:001_rolleyes:

think you might need to ask not to derail the thread if you just want a money answer
