Im after a little advise please. I use an edelrid tree motion 2 to climb with, whilst doing some conny bashing I nicked the bridge with my silky. Now its not a big cut but it is a cut all the same. I was wondering if I should get it replaced? If this is the case has anyone done a bridge change on this harness before or is it a send to the pro's to do job.

ย

Or am I worrying about nothing? If that is the case what would the loler inspector think about it.

ย

Thanks for the input in advance.

ย

Forgot to add that i lightered it to seal it

Hi there I did the same thing to mine a while back with my silky I did replace mine but it was worse then yours . Its easy to do a bridge change you will be able to order up another one and may well have it by the next day if you ring them first thing in the morning .

ย

Give Justin a ring at Jones he will sort it for you . If he has not one in stock try HB they are quick to deliver as well if you ring first thing in the morning .

All the best

Thanks for your posts on this, I think your right by saying I answered my own question. If I have to ask then the only way to go is replacement.

ย

I have contacted Chris at f r jones and he will get me one in in the new year. I can borrow one until then so not so bad.

ย

Thanks for putting my mind at ease

I replaced the bridge on my dragonfly last week, it didn't have any noticible marks, nicks or fraying..... but for the sake of 12 quid i can be safe in the knowledge that its good to go and fingers crossed safe and sound.

dosent look too bad but the way i see it is they made it size and thickness for a reason so for sake of a few quid you dont have to keep looking at it the higher you go.
