Hitch Climber

Hi all ive just got a hitch climber pulley about half an hour ago. It seems very smooth. The problem is that because my rope doesn't have a spliced eye the knot I'm using(bowline) is rubbing against the the VT knot on the hitch climber. Is there anything I can do about this?:confused1:

Use the small ring from a cambium saver. Put the legs of the friction cord through the ring. When you clip the top crab into the hitch climber, the small ring keeps the knot further away.

Failing that. Tie a bowline with the loop so its about 6 inches long and the knot won't bother you. You'll get loads of sticks poking into it but its swings and round abouts.
