Wanted: Self-employed conservationist - Rhododendron control

 

 

Location : Wester Ross, Scotland

 

For: Tuolumne Nature Restoration

 

Pay: Daily rate basis, £12.50/hr on various projects (not continuous)

 

We are looking for a hard working, motivated self-employed conservationist to undertake Rhododendron Control works in the North West of Scotland. The work is scattered through the year. Mainly using stem injection technique using herbicides, but some physical work involved.

 

Chainsaw and Herbicide certificates desirable but ability to work in tough conditions essential and a pleasant disposition is essential. Your location not important as long as prepared to travel at your own cost.

There was a member ' shanks ' replied to my farthest north thread. Said he wasn't a pro but he is certainly in the right area ( Ullapool ). Dont know if anyone is acqainted with him.

 

Just caught this, but thanks for thinking of me.

 

I see 'big fell' is on the case but its allways worth PM'ing me here if you find yourself stuck for labour in Wester-ross. I work two jobs so usually quite busy but I have some spare time in the Summer.
