entec 98 infeed roller speed

Does anyone know if the speed can be increased on the infeed rollers? currently mine are running slower than other entec machines, and watching in slowly drag branches through is becoming painfull.

No dont think they have any speed adjustment, infeed rollers could be worn out, and could do with hydraulic filter change.

Hi, rollers are in really good condition. will change hydraulic filer and see if that makes a difference. hydraulic oil is correct viscosity and to the correct level. I will check the pressure off the hydraulic pump, anyone know what the correct pressure is ?

Have a look at the hoses, something could be restricting the oil flow, take them of one by one and blow them out with a airline.

check its on full revs ,& the throttle isnt creepng bk ,they do that wen they get worn

Sounds like hydraulic filter or hydraulic problem. Not familiar with the machine but check everything is engaging fully. Pressure may not be the issue, if all of the above fails get the pump flow tested. Has it been run low on oil recently?

ill take it apart, clean it an reassemble. i had presumed that good pressure would mean good flow, but really i know jack about hydraulics, so ill try and find a way to check it. if all above fails new pump possibly.

Put a pressure gauge on, leave it on while you work the machine. Put some brash through and see if the pressure drops back at all and watch the feed roller speed, everything should be consistent wether hot or cold.

That’s just going to make un unnecessary mess.

 

Hydraulic runs Waaaay higher pressure than air, if the hydraulic flow wont shift a problem air has no chance whatsoever.
