Who can ID my climbing belt

is it a trace harness??? ive seen them in army surplus stores in the uk. they look like this one, item 002124,:thumbup1:

Hayes Otoupalik

 

Took a look at the Hayes Otoupalik site and that belt looks pretty close except my waist belt is adjustable with Brass hard wear. It appears to be made of the same material and the OD color is spot on. Perhaps some handy person created a climbing belt or linesman belt out of the original design?. Thanks straight fell my belt maybe has been ID'ed.

if it is it could be up to seventy years old ,i suggest that it belongs on a shelf not a waist
