Cheapest Bar Oil in UK?

Yeah i tried veg oil, was good but the pump keeps getting blocked by burn chips and bits of fish!

 

That's alright........at least you'll have something warm for lunch!!!!!!!

So, as a cheaper option, does the veg oil run any quicker?

 

Just thinking for my 660 when its running a 36" bar- could do with a bit more oil!

 

On the other hand, if it runs quicker, the price could be equaled out by a higher useage......

Mr Craig ( moral , upright and straight talking) trying to cut corners with cheap nasty oil, I can hardly believe it.

 

cheap cooking oil from lidl also doubles up in the landrover and transit when the tide is out.

tried cooking oil for month or so it coats everything including the cooling fins in red brown residue. asda smart price engine oil is the way forward

thats what i thought but snapped a few chains recently and put it down to the asda oil,i then mixed it 50/50 with the stihl stuff,then i worked out 20L drums of stihl stuff from mr jones are only a few pence more per litre than supermarket oil,no snapping chains since

We used asda,morrisons etc cheapo oil but I found the crankcase's on the 200t and 046 started leaking. The gasket between the casing's had been sucked in because of a vacuum in the oil tank. Switched to chain oil seems to not be a problem anymore.

 

Requires a total strip down of the saws to replace a £2 gasket .

or a quick dob of super glue in the gap! i had 2 saws do that while i used the supermarket oil,both 200t's,think its common but not sure if its linked to oil type?
