Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

I switched over to a knut when I got the RW, I couldn't get a VT to work well. I prefer the knut as it seems more reliable, easier to tend, and you can use a much shorter cord and have less sit-back.

I use Blue Tongue and currently on 8mm AP, which is the orange polyester version, I might try the regular 8mm AP next, or Beeline.

Do you guys notice the hitch cord feeling 'flatter' than DRT when using the wrench?

Yep, I found cougar blue flattens out with most srt devices.

Been on the RW for a couple of weeks solid and have decided it's actually very different to the RR. I think the RW is smoother as the RR can be jumpy if you don't commit to descents. Also I only ever seem to tie alpines on redirects now as i had a small incident when I snapped a redirect out and it came to say hello. (5p to 50p moment)

some pretty intense forces on the dynamic redirects hey ian! I'm with ya on the static redid, way better. and Beeline Blue has gotta be the stand out hitch cord for me these days, cannot fault it.

I was convincing myself it was because I ate that second French fancy the lady brought out. ;)
