hi we are thinking of buying a log splitter for the back of a mog. any advice on which to go for ie pto or striaght hydrulic, makes models etc. thanks carl.

I had an old wessex hydrulic one one that sat on my 3 point linkage. The only problems were i had to bungy the spool valve lever open as it used to pop back to centre after a few minutes running when the oil had got warm.

Also the mog linkage didn't drop quite low enough (even adjusted) to get it on and off easily so i allways had to have it sitting on a couple of 8" logs.

I also only ever used to let the lads run the mog for 30 mins at a time before giving it a break as you only just need it on idle.
