dropped saw in water

Can't believe I read this thread a couple of days ago and then watched in horror today as my 346 went for a swim!

Emptied, plug out, filter off and blown through. Couple of pulls upside down to clear out. No joy though. In the shop for a check over, and a new bar, as the tree ate that too.

Bugger!

sort of tin boats we call them fire trays a 3x3 meter square high angeled sides made out of steel they will float so we can burn all day long we winch them about with a snow cat fitted with d/d winch

I was working a Norfolk marsh in January, but dragging all the trees into a woodland a few hundred metres away with an Argocat. And yes, I did drop the Stihl saw in the soup a few times. I just took the plug out and let it dry out, then it fired up no problem. I was worried for a bit about my new saw being damaged, but its going strong!
