My saws about a year old and the spark plug shot out of the head stripped the thread clean off and thats not a warranty issue?.

 

any one else had this i maintain my saws immaculatly i torque my plugs in etc im really pissed off that a £6-700 saw could do this anyone got an idea of costs for a new head an will a patent part suffice ?.

sounds like youv over tightned the plug ,easy done ther only alloy :001_smile:

i''ve got 2 441's... one 09 and one 2010... i have never touched the spark plug in either... all we do is blowthe air filter out every now and then and they have both logged up serious amount of wood..

never had a problem with either..

Thought about helicoil been told not so good on chainsaw heads ?

 

The aluminium ones megatron mention are fine,it's the steel ones you can't use, something to do with heat transfer causing the plug to self implode, so I've been told.

have you tried gettin it fixed under warranty... my 200t was playin up other day... splutterin and cuttin out... took it to dealer to get it fixed... saw is 18 months old and they put new carb kit on it and few other things inc anti vibe bush on handle.... no charge at all...
