Spiderjack and thinner rope.

How did it feel with a bit of bounce and stretch in the rope? Was it with spiderjack? Anyone else struggle using spiderjack with their left hand??

 

I was wondering if the velcro can be changed to the other side, as I have spent the last 28 years climbing with my left hand controlling the hitch, and now, trying to use the right hand feels strange - also got to throw the rope over the branch the other way now as well....

Bounce felt fine just takes some time getting used to it, but I've never noticed it when doing smaller trees. I fancy trying some blaze out next

As blaze is so light does it take much height for it to self tend?

I used to use yale xtc when i first got mine, just bought myself some tachyon & its alot better self tending & feeling would definately recommend it

i use imori with mine and it's bloody awesome. not too soft as some have said, although it's down to personal preference.

after a huge amount of reading and researching it seems that the main choice is tachyon, poison ivy to bouncy although looks ace haha, imori general opinion is that its even more bounty and saggy, velocity to thin for people used to 13mm, hmmm

You will only find p.i bouncy if your climbing extremely large trees for general day to day jobs it's spot on.

i run the 11mm blaze rope through it and it self tends really well you dont need much height at all, im still getting used to mine but it beats the old prussic and gecko rope
