Is that a Hilux?

 

If so got one on the drawing board already.

 

The weight distribution issue is the same whatever type of tipper you use, although 1.5 cube of dry firewood shouldnt overload the rear axle.

 

The hilux extra cab carries 1080kg the single cab only 700kg ? so the extra cab would be useful for kindling etc. I assume looking at my single cab 2cu metres would be too much ? . 1cu of dry beech 325kg but green can be 600kg so if we were supplying 1.5 cu of green it would still work as long as you dont have passengers.

I think the extra cab type truck is probably the best to fit a Pro Tipper to, although I am very happy with mine in a double cab. I use my truck as a family run around too so having four proper seats is a must.

 

I don't know why the payload is so low on the single cab though, you would have thought with only two seats it would be lighter unladen?

I bought the single cab thinking with bigger bed and only 2 seats it would be more of a work horse and carry alot more but is 1800kg empty and gross kerb weight is 2500kg. The dc and ec is just under 3000kg to keep it on a car mot test. Even the latest single cabs still only 700kg

The double cabs have to have a 1000kg payload to qualify as a commercial vehicle for tax purposes.

 

I wonder if it would be possible to uprate the single cab to the same gross vehicle weight?

 

I did look into that but lack of tech advice from toyota would make it difficult. Also mine does not drive or stop great when loaded to 2900kg and driven on private grounds. I have coil and leafs fitted.
