heard about this a while ago was kinda hoping they would not do it but.... oh dear a rebadged zenoah /redmax thing! why they cant just get a load of guys who actually use top handled saws to tell them whats wrong with the 338 concentrate on improving it,and they could quite easilyhave a saw that would better the 200t...then they have the market cornered instead of damaging there reputation with bags of shite like this!

why not??? both have room for improvment...if im honest im glad i replaced my 200ts with a 338 neither saws are perfect but it annoys me that they obviously not tested in average work conditions...the 200t and 338 have been around for over 10 years its about time they where seriously sorted husky have done more too improve there saw than stihl...what have stihl done ???change the air filtter quick release and put crapper carbs in is about all i can see the chain brake handles are still weak and the wiring still easily pulls out oh but they did do the breather.....9 years after they realised it was in a stupid place!

are you talking about a 335 that came out years ago ????? that blew every ones confidence that husky could make a decent climbing saw....the new model 338 has the same hp as a 200t and the most important faults fixed, it isnt a bad saw but the spark arrester needs chucking and the spark plug cover still brakes easily exposing the ht lead to damage.

Using the 338 yesterday it impressed me again with its power and feel after using a 200t for a few days...

Come on!

It has a different pot and piston, giving more power!

Quick opening fuel caps, which are ace no messing about with combie spanners!

They have in proved the chain brake mechanism!

And the carb problems are down to trying to reduce emissions, and mine have always been sorted on warranty in the first week from new.

I love my 200!! :001_tt1:
