found a little book 'savernake forest' isbn 978-0-9544916-3-5 forward publications, helps find a few trees map inc. history of forest, found it in craft sale in the church at end of the high st. Marlborough ( widest high st. in Britain )

Can't believe I have not been here before :001_rolleyes: thanks for posting this little gem in the landscape. Not more than an hour from my place and have just booked in to my weekend places to visit diary :thumbup: Awesome collection!

I thought the lying down relics looked a bit like whales, and they were looking at me! tiz truly a fantastic place, I will go back, stayed in Marlborough with near by Avebury, white horses, crop circles, back in time good spot for a bit of exploring

Brilliant pictures!! I'll have to have a look up there at some point. Only time I've been there is for a rave about 10 years ago. One of the best ones of my life.
