This one is seemingly doing well, stem division aside. I can remember it being relatively small, now has nearly 2 ft diameter, and creating its own little grove of suckers. If you ever get the chance go and see the one (s) at Cambridge botanical garden, awesome to behold!

Off that pic alone, its going to be a guess, so.... Tis an old pollard and a fine looking tree:thumbup: Almost Platanus-like in form, but i don't think its P. x hispanica so i'm going to say P. orientalis, for now:biggrin:

I'm being a bit mischievous 'cos it's on another thread. (hama's pollard thread)

I think it's an Oriental plane but I am not sure it's ever been pollarded.

And yes, defiinitely an old pollard:biggrin:
