Not too sure on the price of these, but what engine is it running?

If its the early turbo diesel, rather than the 200 seriesTD they were not the most reliable engine,( cracked blocks & head problems on some).

Looks a nice landy in the pic,but I wouldn't pay extra for raised suspension,as its not realy nescesary,& needs to be mentioned when getting insurance quotes.

I'm not being 'down' on the vehicle, just a couple of pointers.

If you do go for it I would look to drain all oils from the engine & drive train & replace,as if it has been through deepish water it can get in the axles etc,as they cool down rapidly & can suck in muddy water when immersed in water.

I think for a nice clean chassis etc,you might up the price on the 200tdi (or 300tdi) a bit,but if its a 300 series lump I would think it will be non factory fitted.:001_smile:

The 300 sit further back in the enginne bay, so the gear box needs slight modification, and most of the pipes at the front of the enginne need extending.

from the one pic it'll make £6,995 on a forecourt, looks mint - is it?

on ebay you'll break £4k easy - its worth 5k all day

It's reportedly in very good condition. It's a 2.5Tdi not a 200 otherwise I'd consider the 4K asking price. Think I'll spend 15K on a new Hilux, It'll probably work out to be the cheaper option in the long run.
