the weakest part of a 110 chasis is behind the cab this is the area that the plates go over from memory the plates weld either side of the chassis and are thicker than the original steel

sweet then. I reckon i will get my garage to do it. They will do a standard chassis swap for about £600+vat in about 2 days, and mine would be less due to the fact that it would essentially be a chassis cab when they got it. Therefore I would get the whole job done for way under the cost of a new chassis and the swap. I reckon about a grand should do it, even with the staggering cost of 130 rear prop shafts!!

Then all you have to do is make the body. there is plenty of space between the chassis and the support rails to make saw or tool boxes, i have fitted mine with a load handler instead of tipping gear to reduce weight.

Any chassis mods will require an sva test and the 130 has a deeper chassis than the 110 i think so any strengthening will have to be pretty meaty on the 110 but easily doable. But be careful as the insurance will add 10% on top straight off for any mods. Worth a go tho so go for it!

Take your prop to a specialist machine shop and they should be able to lengthen it for you. I had one shortened and rebalanced for my 18 tonner, cost about £70. That prop is about 100mm diameter, I imagine yours is a bit smaller!
