Grease gun woes

Really daft question on the way but hopefully you'll bear with me.

It's regarding the use of a bog standard plastic grease gun for greasing clutch bearing/bar nose sprocket.

I pulled off the external cap and removed the little plunger cap from inside, pushed the nose in, filled it with grease, put the plunger back in, cap back on. But no joy when I try to use it

apart from me being slow, any suggestions? :blushing:

Bin it??

I never use them, never have and have never had a problem with a nose sprocket jamming on any husky i have ever used. Maybe i am just lucky but i also heard that if you start greasing the nose then you need to keep doing it but if you dont start then you never need to. I may be wrong but its always worked for me in the 20 years i have been doing it so there must be some truth in it.... Wait and see me get crucified now

Why do think that stihl bars do not have grease holes ?

Because you do not need to. Once you grease a bar tip the grease forms a plug and prevents the oil getting to the bearings. No grease = plenty of oily lubrication on you end
