When I was in America I remember the US flag on their stuff......they seem to have spread to the UK now ? I see Fletcher Stewart distribute the stuff here, I would be interested to see where its manufactured ?? Can you find out Steve ? Id be impressed if it was northampton...

Ha....you're nearly right, except you're completely wrong. They are a UK company who have spread to the US amongst other countries. Someone mentioned Portugal earlier....I think that may be correct but not 100% sure on this particular boot

I've never had any boots fall apart in so short a time, and I'm heavy on my footwear. I've had Steins, amongst others, and I re-iterate that a lot of footwear issues are down to the after care by the user. I have no real preference to any particular brand, if I like a particular boot or trouser, then I will stick with it. It is irrelevant where the boots are made, top brands such as Nike are made in countries where labour costs are far lower than if made in the UK.

If there is an issue with a product, whether made by Stein or other, then the manufacturers need to listen to the feedback and where necessary address the situation, after all such feedback can help create better products for us all.
