hgv licence plus and negs?

I have a 7.5 tonner mate when you consider you can get 2 ton on a tranny and only 3 ton on a 7.5 tonner I often wonder if what you benefit is worth it.

You have the operators licence blue our orange disc depending whether you hold a c.p.c our carrying other peoples goods on hire our reward. Then test on the vehicle which comes under HGV test station (BALL ACHE). Then 6 weekly checks our 12 depending on your mileage all this then tacho's our log books. But suprisingly at the minute the tax seems pretty cheap!!:confused1::thumbdown::thumbdown:

if u stay within 25miles of your base you dont need to us a tacho ,only wen you stray out of ,but that may now be 50miles not sure ,hope some 1, can clarefie this bit :001_smile:

the whole cpc thing. i was told that you need it if you are driving full time. the example i had was if you was a builder and you drove a lorry full of bricks the build a house at 8 in the morning then drove of at 4 everyday you dont need a cpc. or if you was only driving say 2-3 days a week. but aparently if you drive 5 days a week doing maybe 2-3 jobs a day then you need a cpc. i done it to save the ball ache if i ever got pulled by the fuzz.better to be safe than sorry
