A belated big thank you for your advice given many moons ago regarding a scored Husky 350. Did as you said and cleaned up the bore, fitted new piston etc.

Started first pull.

Great advice! Have now got a spare saw.

Back on the MS290, I thought I had seen it all until I took off this floppy ol clutch. Note the wear between the arms on the central boss and the clutch shoes!

Sure are. And so unnecessary, should have been made better in the first place.

That's a bit harsh but know there are a few changes made to sort out this issue and a few more.

 

When I work on MS201s, I notice the mods done to sort out the MS200 issues. Most noticeable is the MS200 wobbly chain brake handle issue.

 

I know that I have already serviced an MS200 when it comes in as the chain brake isn't loose:thumbup:

Ive got the ignition triggering module from my 051 on the bench but i cant find any how to's on testing, anyone got any tips or tutorials?? please

Well fitted a new mower ignition module to the saw, a lot cheaper and easier than getting a second hand one from the bay.

The saw now spits out sparks from the plug so I shall be cutting with it in the next few weeks, nothing like the old saws with the worn out av mounts and no safety break to keep you on your toes

Ah I had one of those for a bit, fun saw to use, noisy heavy but plenty of power, put up some pictures if you can

Hi All, I've got a rattle inside the exhaust muffler on my 550xp.

Pretty certain its a baffle that has broken loose- don't understand why though.

 

Anyway, is it OK to keep cutting with? And can anyone on here source me a replacement?

Otherwise I'l donder down to my local dealership 20 miles away and order a new one.
