Hi gents, could do with picking your brains please.. We got a ms261 that lacks power on anything over 4inch. Thought rings maybe? But took carb off to clean first to see if that helped as it didn't need to warm up to be gutless.

Seemed quite clean, so put it back together. But it now keeps compound flooding the crankcase. Keep taking plug out & TDC & invert with throttle open to drain out top of carb but it keeps filling up! Been a few days now to see if it'll evaporate after draining to see if it'll start, after emptying, but couple of times it's been pulled fuel has come out of de-compressor.

So was wondering what to do to get it to start?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like its pulling fuel through when its sat not running, Take carb off again and check the needle and metering arm height and also replace the metering diaphragm and the metering diaphragm gasket.

Sounds like the needle valve in the carb isn't sealing properly, possible it is being held open.

You can put a piece of fuel pipe on the fuel pipe connector and blow down it to see if you can get any air through (you shouldnt be able to).

A pressure gauge to do this is a better option!

Back to the world of the living.

Got an ms200t coming in, started over revving and then dying out, air leak somewhere, my guess is the carb boot, but cold be crank seals. Will know with a few tests.

A br400, starter pully keeps stripping cord.

And the 048av to go back. How did I fix it? Shrink wrap is the best invention ever. It's a tempory fix until the pipe arrives.

Also a strimmer to go back, split fuel hose. And an old echo blower with split fuel pipes to go back.

Clearing out for the bank holiday weekend. I hope.
