Thanks so much for that!

I probably didn't explain myself very well; I mean the whole trigger/trigger lock assembly. The stuff under the black plastic part on the back handle. Nightmare!

Yeah complete nightmare. I will try and get a few pics of one up for you tomoz if your still having trouble.

Very kind offer, thanks!

I already have it back together, but I need to take it apart again before I finish the saw.

The problem (well, the main problem) is that the end of the throttle linkage/rod completely refuses to stay in the hole in the trigger. As soon as I fit the spring into the throttle lock, the fecking linkage pops out.

I was hoping there was a clever knack to it. Possibly involving elastic bands. Or voodoo. Or alien technology.

Bloody hell Barrie, wish my workshop was that clean and well laid out - mine works on the volcano principle - the item you want is at the top of the pile:lol:

The 026 - it is usually a case of undoing the screw at the back of the handle and then easing up the black cover very slowly so the bits don't fly out.

To get it back together, you need to put the throttle rod back in to the carb throttle linkage and then push the thing back in to the hole in the throttle lever and put the throttle lock back in carefully, slide the top cover back in to the location catches just below where the air filter sits and bring it down on to the throttle lock that you have been holding in place and let it click upwards in to the hole in the black handle and bring the cover down and get that screw in quickly:lol:

It isn't that difficult IMO but I have done a few:thumbup:

Looks especially tidy at the moment, but TBH it will always be almost as tidy as this. i just can't work in a mess.

The bench you see is my tool station, along with the twin cabinets to the left. All commonly used tools are in their own place on the tool bench. Small and fiddly bits are repaired on this bench, but machines are all done on a 6x4 bench just beside the tool bench. All tools are returned to the tool bench between every job, so the 6x4 bench is completely clean for every job. This saves mixing things up and identifies left over bits immediately.

Yes, but I got some cream for it:lol:

Think you should go back. Doesn't look like the cream is working:lol:

I should get you to come and clean my bench sometimes. You would be there for a year. I pick up saw parts and have to think really hard where they came from.
