It's the 064 that I need a new drum for Barrie. Sorry.

 

Just checked as to why it won't hold on choke or throttle either. There is a broken park on the choke linkage in the middle.

 

So next question, is this part available.

... You shouldn't need to replace the bar unless there is a fair bit of side play with the sprocket

That is a common fault - believe it is still available and is usually broken by forcing the thing in to position and ends up not being able to hold the throttle open on full choke - need one myself for the 066!

Dolmar 112 with the fuel cap stuck fast. Big pair of mole grips and managed to unscrew it. I thought it was only Jonsereds that suffered from this problem. New one on order so hopefully it will solve it.

First off a huge apology to gardenkit (Barrie) I have spent the afternoon in the hospital, went in after seeing the docs and he called ahead. So spent a while having a scan and they wanted the camera again to have a look if there was any change to be on the safe side.

 

Anyway. Sorry Barrie, will do it on Monday.

 

Anyway, a husky in picked it up on Wednesday, 346 xpg something or other. Stopped after a change in two stroke oil was used. Said it acted like a seize, yet there is no sign at all of a seize, piston a bore is spotless.

 

Now I did hear about some sort of thing with a husky that if it doesn't read the oil in the fuel it stops the saw? Is this right? It was a change of oil from the red stuff to the purple stuff. Thinking it really is just coincidence, so giving it a go over at some point.

Also going to be on the scrounge soon. Got given a 036 and want a nice big juicy saw for myself. It needs a clutch, pull start assembly, that's about it for now but I'm sure it will need a few more bits. Oh and an ignition module.
