Optium performance mate, time is money and all that .... I love tachyon on a nice big reduction on a sunny day nice and light and easy to keep pulling up for redirecting but I don't have the same feeling about it when it's soaked through and minus degrees ! I want some thing my ageing decrepid when cold hands can grip.. And can leave in the shead on dry days..

With the cold weather fast approaching I'm looking for a winter rope, some thing that's not 11 m and still light.. Using tachyon and fly But Want some thing easy to grip when it's soaking wet and it's freezing cold so looking at Samson arbor master against the new England hi vi or some maybe some more imori ... Probably a bit to thin but also looking at the poison ivy.

Hi Matty If its of any value to your purpose I have climbed daily on samson arbormaster over past couple of winters in all weathers mainly in the Scottish highlands and Northumberland where it was good to have a rope that gives good grip and other qualities even in bad snow and ice etc; unlike other ropes I had used previously, arbormaster keeps its "feel" regardless of conditions, very good grip, also does not suffer from milking and other issues like some other ropes might. once the newness wears off it stays with the same feel to it consistently. excellent rope. Dont know what its like using gloves as I never wear em but a workmate does and he reports the same qualities.
