Nobody likes being cold:lol:

Your right but it would be cheaper to turn the central heating on than burning logs, firewood for alot of my customers are a luxury not a necessity.

i think the biggest winners will be supermarkets suppyling extra thick jumpers!!!!!!!!!! ill agree with what phil says about the increase of wood burners......... ive delivered to 5 new customers this week that have had burners fitted in their conservatry's ????? hmmm, cant think of nothing more attractive than sitting in a glass room whilst the wind & rain is hammering down!!!!!!!!!! i can see firewood pricing itself out of the economic market

for me it's £45 per tonne delivered in for mixed hardwood, and if it get much more i'll pack in and do something else.

Hardwood will become a luxury. This will only do seasoned softwood a good turn. How many of us moan about customers moaning "Where too expensive" and our answer "If only they knew how much work went into a load of logs!"

Now to all people saying £60t is too much my answer to you. I aint working for nothing! If my logs are too expensive then my answer to customer then try elsewhere. They normally phone later that seaon after struggling to burn that 1tonne load of wet willow that was half the price of mine. If the cord is too expensive for you the please re-read above,Failing that use my briquettes!!

Thanks Phil

my market is pre-dominatly customers with good insulation & economical central-heating, open fire/ wood burner/ multi-fuel burner is time-consuming in comparison with central-heating, if the price increase of wood fuel exceeds that of gas & electric then all we will see is customers who want a fire at christmas & weekend's....if they have time!! im all for price increases in the industry but it needs to kept realistic, an increase of 30-35% of cordwood at road side is far from realistic!!!!!
