mpg calculator

Hiya. I'm not sure which forum this should go on, but which ever it is I am sticking it here, as I think the most people will see it here. I hope that makes sense. I even spent half an hour surfing through the script to see what the programmer classed a gallon as, and its rightly 4.5 litre. Some people say 5 for lazyness, but its inacurate.

This tool should come in use for pricing log runs or milage for a job. :)

I don't mean to be abrupt, but I do think that the need for a calculator to calculate something as simple as mpg is indicative of society getting more stupid.

 

If you're at the pump and want to know your mpg:

 

1) Divide the litres you put in to fill it by 4.54 for gallons.

2) Divide distance on the previous tank by the number of gallons.

= answer in mpg

I agree with this Johnathan

My calc is 9 litres = 2 gallons= pretty close

Is the new super clever at exams generation actually getting stupid- its a calculation you can do in your head
