cheers for the replies.

 

interesting about the echo i thought the hedge cutter would work with the extention that would have been handy, i know the hedgecutter head works on the stihl but can damage the shaft if you cut through bigger bits.

 

im thinking the stihl ticks the boxes, pity it has the 4 mix..........so it could be the echo:lol:

i have the stihl, the 4 mix is a bit heavier than the original 2 stroke. it has more grunt and i have never had any problems with the bearings in the shaft. This was always the problem with the earlier models.

I use mine daily and with the hedge cutter head on, it handles it no bother, i have even had the strimmer on it for a laugh and it was fine.

I have had that 1 for about 3 years i think, usually i went through 2 a year.

 

Never tried the echo, i see no point!
