New to the site- what do you think of my first carvings ?

Hi there i am new to carving done a few owls before maybe 10 but now branching out to other stuff, nice to hear some feedback if you've got some....

hopefully i have attached the images correctly. These are all firsts of the ones i've done e.g first owl on books... they're all chainsaw only.

Im not being sarcastic, but I think the bear may be a yorkie terrier, perhaps done for a friend or customer off a photo. Hey,if im wrong and its a bear then apologies.

 

Nice stuff, wish I had the inclination to carry out more craft based work, very rewarding by the look of it.

Haha yeh the over exaggerated step to the muzzle from the brow makes it look a bit terrierish I have been looking at bear pictures since this first one I did and know how to improve it

Very tidy carvings, really like the bear too . Did you just have a go or have you had some form of carving tuition?

Thanks No lessons or anything just a few pointers from my dad like remember the space for the feet on your owls haha everything i've done other than owls have just been solo, just need some bigger saws now
